CrossFit is constantly varied, high-intensity, functional movement. What this means is we vary everything from the workouts you do and the movements that create them, to the time in which they are completed. Along with proper mobility and nutrition, we focus on compound exercises incorporating several muscle groups. At relative high intensity we are able to get more done in less time.
Woodward CrossFit is a community-based CrossFit focusing on a healthy and active lifestyle through nutrition and functional fitness. Through scaling and workout modification, our program is open to all skill levels–from the competitive athlete to those who have never exercised before.
You will not see any “machines” in our gyms other than a Concept 2 Rower. You will see a combination of: sprinting, rowing, jumping rope, climbing rope, flipping tires, weightlifting, carrying odd objects, box jumps, barbells, dumbbells, gymnastics ring work, pull-ups, kettle bells, medicine balls and many body weight exercises. CrossFit is for everyone, regardless of your experience or fitness level. Each workout is scalable.
